DADIO is ONE INCREDIBLE ATHLETE!!!

This year was the most memorable year yet. Dads best friend past away expectantly in December. The two were inseparable. They trained every day to be elite athletes year round. When Tak died my dads world turned upside down. Not only was he losing his best bud but he was losing the brother he never had. They had more in common than anyone I had seen.... even down to first names. Dad  some how claimed his name so "Tak" was always Rick Takemori's nick name as long as we can remember to keep those two straight.

This year all the riders decided to dedicate their 5th year of riding 206 miles in ONE DAY from Logan, Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Mr. Rick Takemori. TEAM TAK ROCKED IT ANOTHER YEAR IN A ROW. We loved being support crew for the team, especially Nick, Ricks son and Dad. They rode together from mile one all the way into the finish line. Dad dreamed of riding one more time with Rick and Nick dreamed of riding with his dad for the first time this year which made this ride special. Nick started to struggle with wrenching knee pain at about mile 150 but that didn't stop him from an incredible first time finish. Watching these two come across the finish line was emotional as Dad and Tak always finished together. We know Tak was proud! We all felt him close this weekend.... just not close enough. There will always be a special place for Tak in our hearts and lives! A special thanks to all those that rode in memory of Tak. There were so many more riders that joined our team and trained for the relay just in order to support his family and friends. Thank you!!! Congrats to all those that finished.
